Country girl Kelly: Pregnant Miss Brook ditches London nightlife for comfy clothes and green fields in Kent

She hasn’t let being pregnant get in the way of her party girl ways and has enjoyed nights out at The Box and Mahiki nightclubs in recent weeks.

But while Kelly Brook is used to hitting the club scene hard now that she is expecting the model is enjoying the quiet life a little more.

The 31-year-old has been soaking up the sunshine in the countryside and was seen leaving her home in Kent earlier today.

And ditching her usually highly-styled look Kelly opted for comfort in a pair of lilac jeans a beige and navy striped jumper and a pair of black and white pumps.

It seems the underwear model couldn’t wait to get back to comfy clothing after being seen out on the town in recent weeks.

On Saturday night Kelly and boyfriend Thom Evans celebrated the former rugby player’s 26th birthday at Mahiki nightclub.
Where's the baby bump? Kelly was beaming as she left her home earlier today in a pair of lilac jeans and a stripey jumper

The model and actress threw on a pair of peep-toe stilettoes and a slinky black dress and partied with her boyfriend until 2am.

Two day before she had enjoyed a night out at London’s risqué burlesque nightclub The Box but by Sunday it seemed that Kelly was looking forward to getting back into her comfy clothes.

Kelly tweeted: ‘Had a lovely night celebrating Thom's 26th Birthday made the effort and wore heels. Looking forward to getting back in my tracksuit X’

The model has been dating Thom for five months and they announced they were expecting a baby together last month.

Kelly confirmed the news on her Twitter page, posting: ‘Thom and I are happy to announce we are expecting a baby girl. We are delighted XXXX.’

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt splash out on a Ferrari after she signs up for new reality show

They were facing bankruptcy last year after blowing their $10million fortune.

But it seems Heidi Montag and her husband Spencer Pratt have no intention of embracing austerity.

The couple wasted no time splashing out on a Ferrari - albeit a rented one - just days the 24-year-old blonde signed on to appear in a new reality TV show.

The attention-loving couple stopped in at a high-end car showroom in Los Angeles where they shared a quick kiss before zooming off in their new wheels.

They then went to a jewellery store where they also rented some sparkling pieces.

Montag is back in employment for the first time in many months and the pair were clearly eager to celebrate in lavish style.

She was seen filming with The Bachelor's Jake Pavelka and Real Housewives of New Jersey star  Danielle Staub over the weekend.

The reality TV alumni will be tasked with opening a restaurant in 28 days for the unnamed upcoming VH1 series.

They are revamping a restaurant from the ground up,' an on-set tells America's People magazine.

It is not clear if Pratt, 27, is currently employed in any capacity.

Heidi has been vocal about her regret at blowing the couple's fortune and nearly having to file for bankruptcy.

The over-the-top pair splurged on crystals, luxury cars, Heidi's plastic surgery and a failed pop album and owed millions in back taxes.

Her addiction to plastic surgery saw her undergo ten plastic surgery procedures in one day, transforming her forever from the fresh-faced young woman who had first appeared on the show.

At one stage they had to move into a guest house at Pratt's parents' home after struggling to pay the rent on their $35,000-a-month Malibu mansion.

They even admitted to faking their split last year because a British television network were interested in documenting their break-up.

Montag's troubles with husband Pratt saw her lose her spot on The Hills and she has been trying to stay in the spotless ever since.

Racy Vanessa Hudgens exposes her floral bra in a sheer black top

Sucker Punch star Vanessa Hudgens set pulses racing last night when she stepped out in a black see-through top.

And while the sexy garment was daring in itself, the 22-year-old gave even more wow factor by slipping on a floral bra underneath.

The actress was arriving for a night out at the Palihouse in West Hollywood.

She paired the casual cool look with a pair of jeans, a black shirt jacket and a multitude of accessories, including tortoiseshell sunglasses and multiple necklaces.

Later on in the evening, Vanessa swapped the top for another sheer blouse that was not so revealing.

Arriving a Ashley Tisdale's Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure reception at the Soho House, Vanessa looked elegant in a black flocked animal print top and a pair of trousers.

And while the top did not expose her bra, the garment gave a glint of Vanessa's silver belly ring.

Vanessa's transparent looks comes after she arrived at LAX the day before in a cream crochet sweater that revealed more floral underneath.

Again she wore jeans that were this time ripped, but paired them with a leather bomber jacket, a panama hat, and some nude platforms.

She was accompanied by her mother who escorted her through the terminals.

Vanessa has just finished promoting her film Sucker Punch in London.

There when interviewed on the red-carpet, she remained tight-lipped about her relationship with her Journey 2 co-star Josh Hutcherson, who she has been spending increasing amounts of time with in recent months.

In fact as the actress took to the red carpet she refused to give anything away about her feelings for the 18-year-old actor-but she did let out a telling giggle.

The actress may not have wanted to speak about her male co-stars but she did speak about working with Kristen Davies and said revealed that she would consider a role in a possible Sex and The City prequel film.

Vanessa told MailOnline: 'Kristen is awesome although we only have one scene together in the film.’

She added that she would be keen to work on a SATC prequel: Yes totally I love the Sex And The City films they are so fun.’

The actress who plays Blondie in the film explained the girls underwent a vigorous training regime over three months working out for five hours a day in order to be able to shoot the Sucker Punch action scenes.

She said: 'Working with the navy seals they don't go easy on you. I had to push myself mentally and physically.'

But while it might not have received rave reviews it wound up in second spot at the weekend U.S. Box Office, raking in $20million (£12million).

While Vanessa has been jetting around to promote her latest film she still managed to squeeze in some time with her Josh Hutcherson.

The pair were spotted cheering on the LA Lakers and the pair have been spending an increasingly large amount of time together since the actress split from her beau of four years Zac Efron at the end of last year.

Leggy Renee Zellweger shows Bradley Cooper what he's missing in two jaw dropping outfits

Now that she is back on the singles market, Renee Zellweger is stepping up her game in the wardrobe department.

The Bridget Jones star looked great in a short red trenchcoat while in Italy today at her first public event since her break-up. She then changed into a jaw dropping metallic green mini dress which highlighted her impressive figure.

Zellweger no doubt wanted to give her ex-boyfriend Bradley Cooper a taste of what he's missing.

The actress accessorised with a pair of neutral peep-toe heels and a limited edition Tommy Hilfiger bag in support of Breast Health International in Milan.

Since the break down of her relationship,Zellweger has been seen more frequently in heels and less so in her gym gear, which was her usual constant attire.

Recent media reports have suggested that Cooper's constant stalling on their marriage plans may have been behind their split last month.

Now magazine are reporting that the couple were set to elope in July last year and Renee had even bought a $15,000 Carolina Herrera bridal gown.

A source close to the 41-year-old actress said: 'Her and Bradley were going to elope last July which is why she had the dress, but he kept pushing it back as his dad was ill'.

Cooper's father Charles, 71, died in January and Renee pulled out of her presenting duties at the Golden Globes at the last minute to support her partner.

The insider added: 'Things were ok until she raised the subject of the wedding'.

'They got into a huge row and Bradley started bringing up issues in the relationship, like her apparent obsession with exercise.'

He then told her he wanted space which shocked the Cold Mountain star.

She apparently told friends that she felt like she had been 'stabbed in the heart'.

Zellweger is currently in the romantic country of Italy alone but it is all in a good cause.

She explained her involvement in the breast health initiative and why it has such a special meaning to her.

'Because of the experiences of close friends and family members who have had to endure and battle the challenges of breast cancer, I am a passionate supporter of breast health education and charitable causes.

'I am honored and grateful to be partnering with Tommy Hilfiger to raise awareness and funds to support the invaluable work of Breast Health International', Zellweger added.

The Saturdays dare to bare in tiny shorts in Hollywood

The Saturdays clearly packed for some superhot weather judging by the wardrobe they've been wearing on their trip to Los Angeles this week - so the girls will be disappointed to hear that the climate's now better back home.

After spending the day yesterday in skimpy bikinis as they frolicked by the pool at their hotel in Hollywood, today, the girls were seen heading to a dance studio in teeny-tiny hot pants.

Rochelle Wiseman, 22, was wearing a candy-coloured checked shirt, cut-off denims and nude platform peeptoes.

Meanwhile Vanessa White, 21, was going for titchy black shorts, a white T-shirt with a black claw mark across the front, and like Rochelle, lace up peep toe platforms and aviator shades.

Mollie, 23, was wearing a brightly striped sleeveless top and miniscule denims whereas bandmate Una Healy, 29, was in white and blue floral shorts and a tight black vest top.

They looked like they'd taken clothes more suitable for a few days ago, when LA was experiencing record temperatures for the time of year.

The mercury had shot up unseasonally into the 90s - but now it's back in the 60s.

It's set to get cooler too, with rain predicted on Friday and a low of 14c during the day - a measly 57f.

London by contrast was 22c (72f) today and is forecast to be 20c tomorrow and 18c on Friday.

Still, with the chillier weather, there's a chance that the girls might actually get some work done.

The band flew out to the States on Monday, ostensibly to work on their new video, but there's been little sign of any action so far.

However, it seems the girls were going to rehearse their dance moves to go along with the promos for the new single today after a couple of days of shopping and sun.

The band will be hoping that the new track will land them that ever-elusive Number One.

So far, the best the girls have managed is Number Two with singles Just can't Get Enough and Forever Is Over, both in 2009.

As for the new track, they've yet to reveal the title, but have hinted that fans can expect a 'different' sound from them, with Rochelle teasing: 'You guys are in for a treat'.

The band shot the video for their last single Higher in LA too.

The new track will be the first taste from the girl's fourth album, which is also as yet unnamed and is due for release later this year.

Kym Marsh returns to Corrie set for first time since premature birth of Polly - but it's just a social call

She gave birth merely two weeks ago but Kym Marsh was back at work at Coronation Street today - but only to pop in and say 'hello' to her pals.

Little Polly was born five weeks premature and 34-year-old Kym has been busy looking after her and visiting her in hospital near the Corrie set in Manchester ever since.

But today, Kym nipped away for a few precious moments for a much-needed break to enjoy the spring sunshine and catch up with friends away from the ward.

Wearing a white vest over a black top, baggy tracksuit bottoms, cosy oatmeal cardigan and white sneakers, the mother-of-three already looked incredibly trim for such a new mother.

At one point, she excited got out her mobile to proudly show some photos of her little girl to co-star Paula Lane, who plays conniving Kylie Turner.

Polly arrived on March 23 weighing just 4lb 1oz but writing in her New! magazine column this week, the star revealed that her 'darling' daughter was 'doing very well.'

Kym wrote: 'She's still in hospital and we don't know exactly how long she will have to stay for yet, but she's definitely a fighter! We hope she gets to take her home soon.'

However, Kym was back looking after the tiny tot tonight as 30-year-old Hollyoaks actor Jamie had gone off to Stamford Bridge in London to watch the Champions League quarter final first leg between Chelsea and Manchester Utd - as a Reds supporter of course.

She wrote on her official Twitter account: 'My Jay @jamielomas1 has gone to the game today! Hope it's a man utd win! Or he won't be a happy man!'

Kym is naturally loving being a mother again and even apologised on her Twitter for her recent absences, saying: 'Sorry I've been AWOL again! Miss polly keeping me busy! She's grrrreat as Tony tiger would say! She is the best!!!'

Jamie is equally in love with the new arrival and wrote: 'Sorry I've not been tweeting, been busy with my,amazing, beautiful, stunning, tiny winee little princess polly x'

Prior to the Polly's arrival, Marsh admitted they were unprepared for the baby and had hardly bought anything for her after losing their son Archie moments after birth two years ago.

The couple were devastated when their son passed away having been born 18 weeks early in February 2009.

But the couple are optimistic their daughter will be able to leave hospital soon and come home to her older siblings David and Emily.

Lomas wrote on his Twitter last week: 'Kym and Polly are both doing really well thanks guys. Hoping Polly will be home soon for a big cuddle off her dad.'

Kylie Minogue pulls out the stops in backless dress for premiere of stylist William Baker's new burlesque show

Kylie Minogue put on a suitably racy lacy frock when she was guest of honour at the opening of her stylist William Baker's new burlesque show last night.

The 42-year-old star had donned an unusual pom-pom trimmed nude frock which rather saucily had a plunging lace-up front as well as killer nude peep toe Louboutins for the premiere in London.

Called The Hurly Burly and taglined 'A contemporary burlesque review' the raunchy revue is directed by 37-year-old William and has just opened in the West End's Garrick Theatre.

Starring burlesque artist Miss Polly Rae, it's described as an all singing, all dancing burlesque-inspired revue with a contemporary twist fusing fashion, music and popular culture - not that far removed from Kylie's current Aphrodite: Les Folies tour, then...

Rather than Kylie though, the Hurly Burly Show stars its founder, Miss Polly Rae, who created the show five years ago at the Soho Revue Bar.

William, who began his career as a fashion designer, made his debut as a theatre director in the 2007 West End revival of Rent.

Kylie was taking a night off from her Aphrodite tour, which kicked off in Denmark in February, to support her friend in his new endeavour.

On Tuesday night, the star played Manchester, where she shared a post-gig shandy with Coronation Street star Antony Cotton, aka Weatherfield's Sean Tully.

'WOW WOW WOW WOW!!!!!!!! Thank you Manchester for 4 incredible nights and peeps for all ur amazing tweets!! Your #Aphrodite x'

Then added: '@antonycotton and I sharing a post show drinky-poo!!!'

Kylie's tour also stops by for five nights at the London's O2 Arena, kicking off on April 7, and finally winds up in Perth, Australia, on 22 June.

How Kate wants to wear flowers in her hair, but Camilla backs a more traditional look at the Royal Wedding

No one doubts that Prince William and Kate Middleton have strong views about what their wedding should be like. Unfortunately, those closest to them don’t always agree with them.
The latest battleground is that Camilla is said to be desperate to persuade the bride to wear a tiara — even asking friends to intervene on her behalf — because Kate is said to be considering wearing flowers in her hair.
This little difference of opinion between  two possible future Queens — the soon-to- be Princess and her stepmother-in-law to be — neatly encapsulates everything that separates Kate and Camilla, and perhaps  even William and Charles, in class, age, taste and aspiration.
While Charles and Camilla have no wish to be seen as extravagant or out of touch, they believe there is a level of formality and grandeur beneath which a royal wedding must not sink. In their 60s, their tendencies are traditional and patrician.
However, William and Kate are decades younger and have been guests at a plethora of weddings in their peer group, so are keen by natural instinct and public relations savvy not to be old-fashioned or stuffy.
To a certain extent, they want to have a royal wedding, be like their friends and be ‘of the people’ — something that Camilla would regard as trying to have their royal wedding cake and eating it.
Hence, the white Whistles blouse  (re-released by the opportunistic High Street chain at £30 more than the £95 she paid for it, under the name ‘Kate’) she wore for the official engagement picture.
They have chosen Westminster Abbey — rather than St Paul’s — which seats at  least 1,500 fewer people and is almost cosy by royal standards.
Then there is William’s chocolate biscuit cake, made by the decidedly unroyal McVitie’s, alongside Kate’s floral confection by Fiona Cairns, who ‘makes cakes for supermarkets’, as a rival pointed out. (In her defence, it is Waitrose.)
But then, in almost every aspect of this wedding, a statement is being made. For example, Prince Harry — at his own insistence — will be called the best man, not the Royal Family’s traditional obscure moniker of ‘Supporter’.
The Buckingham Palace lunch — unbelievably, according to the old guard — is a very middle-class buffet.
There will be canapes ‘that can be eaten in two bites’, according to the caterer, keen to dispel the notion that the King of Bahrain, William’s pal Guy Pelly and Victoria Beckham will be searching for somewhere to perch their champagne glass while they fork up their rice salad.
Charles is hosting the evening dinner for 300, which is expected to be a more lavish sit-down affair.
Meanwhile, Carole and Pippa Middleton’s visit to Alice Temperley the other day — very much a barefoot-in-the-grass, bohemian dress designer brought up on a cider farm in Somerset — is another marker that they are in the anti-tiara camp.
It is presumed Temperley may design some of the dresses for the big day.
Then there is the guest list — several of Prince Charles’s Sloanier country shooting friends are said to be put out that they have been sidelined in favour of worthier sorts who toil away for charities connected with the Prince’s Trust and William and Harry’s good causes.
Indeed, where Charles and Diana had a wedding list that ran from china what-nots to furniture, William and Kate have a list of 26 good causes.
These concentrate on African animals and the welfare of children (including the campaigning charity Beatbullying) and so make the old Generation Game conveyor belt version of the wedding list look dated and a bit greedy.
This tension between the generations has been reflected in the question about who should organise the wedding. Previous royal weddings have been arranged by the Queen’s staff.
Charles was keen to give this duty to his old valet Michael Fawcett — who is sometimes referred to unkindly as ‘Fawcett the fence’ due to the money he made flogging unwanted royal gifts.
The fence had form, having arranged Charles’s and Camilla’s wedding in 2005.
But William and Kate understandably chose those close to them: Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, the former SAS officer who is William and Harry’s private secretary; Helen Asprey, an impeccably dressed scion of the jewellery family, who is their personal private secretary (she gives Kate style advice for royal visits); and affable press secretary Miguel Head.
However, unlike Diana, who used the Glass Coach, Kate is arriving at the Abbey by car.
This week, it also emerged that William and Kate have decided that in this more egalitarian age, guests should be shuffled round town on the day in mini-buses.
Again, note that Charles and Camilla have chosen not to join them, preferring to take his chauffeur-driven Rolls-Royce instead.
An aide said firmly that there is ‘no way’ that Charles would arrive at the Abbey in a bus, though Princes Andrew and Edward and Princess Anne will all be on board, as will various foreign dignitaries, including the Queen of Denmark.
As for the tiara vs flowers debate, the experts say all the blooms on the day are likely to be British garden flowers, including roses, like the ones Fiona Cairns will craft in icing on her wedding cake.
It’s likely, then, that they would feature if Kate was to go against Camilla’s wishes and wear flowers in her hair.
Though Kate is not averse to headgear — after all, she single-handedly triggered a renaissance in the feathered headpieces called fascinators — she knows her long, glossy hair competes with her legs as being her stand-out feature.
Incidentally, six hairdressers, including upmarket celebrity crimper Richard Ward — at whose London salon Kate has her hair cut — have been drafted in for emergency service on the day.
There is the danger, of course, that a tiara can look ageing. They also flatten the hair.
And yet tiara enthusiasts (will Helen Asprey, given her family connections, be among them?) would be furious if Kate passes up the unique opportunity to choose from the finest and most historic royal jewellery collection in the world.
On her day, the new Princess of Wales wore the Spencer family tiara, which had a diamond and gold scroll design. The Queen had given Diana the pearl and diamond Cambridge Lover’s Knot, but this was rejected as too heavy.
It was made from gems received as wedding presents by Queen Mary, wife of George V, and was modelled on a tiara owned by her mother, the Duchess of Cambridge. It has been in a safe at Buckingham Palace since Diana died.
If Kate chooses to borrow  the Spencer tiara, it will excite the ‘It’s all a bit spooky’ crowd, who are already alarmed by the  shared engagement ring and the idea that the young couple might live in Diana’s old home at Kensington Palace.
Not having a family ‘fender’, Kate could also borrow any number of  royal pieces.
The Queen’s favourite is The Girls Of Great Britain And Ireland, so-named because it was a wedding present for Queen Mary funded by young women. There is also the smaller Duchess of Teck, a present to Queen Mary from her mother, who also had this title.
Ladbrokes jointly favours, at 3-1, the Cambridge Lover’s Knot or  a modern one designed by Kate’s favourite jewellery designer, Vinnie Day.
Sophie Rhys Jones wore a royal diamond tiara for her wedding, as did Fergie, though hers was only revealed as she came out of the Abbey, having worn flowers over it on the way in. It’s unlikely Kate will imitate her.
As for Camilla, she wore two creations by celebrated milliner Philip Treacy rather than a tiara when she married Charles. But it was a second wedding, and since then she has borrowed magnificent tiaras, such as the Durbar tiara, which was made for Queen Mary for a visit to Delhi in 1911.
The U.S., home of Miss Universe and Barbie, will be disappointed if Miss Middleton doesn’t wear a tiara. People magazine has got its readers to vote on which one Kate should wear: The Girls Of Great Britain And Ireland is in pole position.
So there we are: flowers and minibuses vs diamonds and chauffeurs. You might say William and Kate want to keep it real, while Charles and Camilla want to keep it royal.
At heart, Charles and Camilla have upper-class leanings and William and Kate, to a certain extent, share middle-class tastes.
Clarence House aides say that Kate doesn’t want anyone to know who’s making the dress because having dated William for so long it’s the only surprise she’s got left for him, never mind the rest of us.
Now, it turns out there’s something else for us to speculate about — what will come out on top, the tiara or the flowers?

Christie Brinkley gives a lesson in how to be fabulous at 57

She was warned when she began modelling that her career would be over by the time she turned 30.

But at 57, Christie Brinkley shows no sign of losing her Uptown Girl appeal.

The mother-of-three proved she still knows how to turn heads yesterday in New York as she showed off moves from her role as Roxie in the Broadway version of musical Chicago.

And in a skintight red Herve Leger dress, the glamorous blonde could have passed for a woman half her age.

Miss Brinkley, who has been married four times, told a New York breakfast television host that her ex-husband Billy Joel, 61, had given her some singing tips before she auditioned for the musical.

‘He helped with my projection,’ she said.

The star, who has appeared on more than 500 magazine covers, also revealed that dancing in the show had ‘definitely’ improved her figure.

Miss Brinkley was criticised for her dancing in the 1983 video for Joel’s hit Uptown Girl – but insists she has improved since.

Poonam Pandey in hospital?

From what we hear, Poonam was admitted in the hospital for a minor surgery to remove the kidney stones. According to her publicist, Poonam will be discharged soon and will stick to her promise.

She’s been sending a similar message to her growing fan-base through her Twitter page.

In a reiteration of her decision to strip, she wrote: “Be content to act, and leave the talking to others - Baltasar Gracian.”

She added: “Thanx a Lot Friends n Fans Worldwide..Thanx once again for such lovely msgs and ur support... will let u kno my next ACTION :) Keep watching.”

Miss Tori Spelling looks a little deflated as she attends celebrity party

After going under the knife a couple of times and spending thousands of dollars, Tori Spelling should have the best boobs in the world.

But clearly money cannot buy perfection, unfortunately not in the actress's case anyway, which was all too clear to see last night.

The reality TV star looked as though she could do with re-visiting her surgeon, as her breasts not only looked a little deflated but one of them had a strange dent at the top of it.

The former 90210 star was attending the Oxygen Network event at Gotham Hall in New York City.

The 37-year-old was accompanied by her husband, actor Dean McDermott, 44.

But her choice of outfit for the red carpet left a lot to be desired, especially as it did nothing for her wonky cleavage.

The blue satin halterneck was the wrong choice for her sunken chest, and she clearly hadn't bothered with a supportive bra to give it some lift.

Two years ago, when she admitted to going under the knife, she was snapped walking around Beverly Hills with a sunken chest, which could have been the result of a botched operation.

But it would appear that she made no attempt to correct the dent in her chest, maybe because she'd had enough operation by that point.

When she came clean about having work done on her breasts, she said: '(I had) a boob job. There it is. I finally said it.

'I wanted to come clean that I had my boobs done in my 20s, because people falsely write that I've had all those things done.

'I've had the two procedures that probably every other woman in Hollywood has had done.' she said earlier this year,' The Sun quoted her as saying.

EastEnders star Jo Joyner strips off for her new BBC comedy show Candy Cabs

We're not sure that it's something that Tanya Branning would approve of.

So it's just as well that Jo Joyner was hundreds of miles away from Albert Square when she decided to get her kit off.

The actress, who plays the long-suffering beautician in EastEnders, is starring in a new comedy that starts tonight on BBC One.

Jo, 33, stars as Jackie O'Sullivan, the boss of an all-female mini taxi company called Candy Cabs.

And in these scenes, which air tonight on the first episode at 9pm, O'Sullivan and her employees strip off for their weekly weigh-in, much to her business partner's disgust.

Set in the north of England, Candy Cabs tells the story fo O'Sullivan and Elaine Partridge, played by Lisa Millett, who open a can company for women, run by women

In these scenes, Stella, played by former Bread star Melanie Hill, lines up the female employees - Amanda, played by Claire Sweeney, Sally-Anne, played by Danielle Henry, Big Pam, played by Lu Corfield and Diane, played by Jodie Prenger - for their weekly Fat Club weigh-in.

The three part series starts tonight on BBC One, and also stars Paul Nicholls, Denis Lawson and John Henshaw.

Paul Kaye and Ricky Whittle also make up the boys among the all-female cast.

Jo filmed the series while on maternity leave from EastEnders last year and said that although she loves playing Tanya Branning, filming Candy Cabs was a breath of fresh air.

Speaking to the  Radio Times, she said: 'It was lovely playing someone who wasn't constantly crying or doing "the Walford sigh".

'Going up north with a wonderful group of women was so much fun - as was working on something that is easy to watch for a change.'

Corrie gears up for double wedding - and Gail can't believe what one bride is wearing

The old saying goes that the course of true love never did run smooth - and never more is the epithet more pertinent than in soap operas.

So Coronation Street fans have been girding their loins for some time with the news that there was to be a double wedding - and just as feared, it doesn't seem that anything is going to go to plan.

However, while not-so-blushing bride-to-be Kylie Turner does her best 'will she, won't she' act before finally turning up late at the wedding, it appears it's her choice of outfit rather than her tardiness that shocks mother of the groom Gail McIntyre.

Badboy David Platt spends ages on the phone trying to locate his bride-to-be while other couple Graeme and Xin wait patiently.

Meanwhile, Graeme is having serious doubts about the whole thing. Will he go through with marrying Xin so she can stay in the country?

Conniving Kylie eventually turns up for the ceremony and shocks the congregation by looking for all the world like a burlesque artist in a a red and black basque.

Whether or not the cage-dancer and badboy David Platt actually make it to the altar however is anyone's guess...

After all, is Kylie there to go through with the wedding, or to tell David about his mother's bribery scheme?

As the pressure mounts, Graeme and Xin wait nervously.

However, as they wait for the service to start, Tina tries to explain to Norris why he saw her and Graeme kissing...

Essex girl Sam Faiers 'covers up' in a skimpy number

Even by TOWIE's standards, Sam Faiers' 'fancy dress' bikini left little to the imagination at Sunday night's party to celebrate the birthday of Harry Derbidge.

And fresh from her appearance dressed as Bond girl Honey Ryder - played by Ursula Andress in the 1962 film Dr No - Sam stepped out yesterday in yet another eye-popping outfit. But at least this time she was wearing more clothes.

Perhaps keen to show off a more demure and 'business-like' image as she stepped outside her boutique Minnies, the 20-year-old glamour model posed for waiting photographers in a skimpy nude dress which clung to her assets for dear life as light winds threatened to reveal even more of the Essex girl.

Despite efforts to look as though waiting photographers had caught her off-guard, there was something distinctly staged about Sam's moment on camera.

It was nude overload as Sam teamed the dress with a beige mac, cream knee-socks with brown stilettos as she met with sister Billie for a coffee.

Since the 20-year-old glamour model was dumped on air by TOWIE playboy Mark Wright so he could 'make a go of things' with his ex Lauren Goodger, Sam has seemingly bounced back from her broken heart.

Seen out on the town with a string of handsome suitors, Sam seems to have forgotten all about the Essex charmer.

At Sunday night's party, Sam and TOWIE co-star Amy Childs - who was dressed as iconic cartoon character Jessica Rabbit - stole the limelight in their jaw-dropping outfits.

The only person who came close to upstaging them was birthday boy Derbidge, who came dressed as his Lady Gaga. The three made their entrance in a pink limousine.

While the party was a good night for most, it was also the scene of a bust-up between Lydia Bright and boyfriend James 'Arg' Argent.

According to reports yesterday, the pair - who have just moved in together with their pet pig Mr Darcy - decided to 'take some time apart' following the row.

Carole Middleton, the mother of the bride

At 56, she has the slim, athletic figure of a woman half her age.

So perhaps this goes some way to explaining why Carole Middleton has started to dress like her children.

Prince William’s future mother-in-law and her younger daughter Pippa, 27, wore almost identical outfits as they ventured out for a shopping trip in Chelsea.

Both women sported smart navy jackets over casual above-the-knee blue and white patterned skirts.

While Pippa opted for a belted trench coat from Marks & Spencer, her mother wore a smart blazer thought to be from upmarket High Street label Joseph, teaming it with a Nicole Farhi skirt and Jaeger bag.

Their ensembles were completed with  flat black boots – a buckled biker-style  that stopped just below the knee for Mrs Middleton, and a ruched pair from LK Bennett for her daughter, similar to the ones favoured by 29-year-old Kate.

While it is clear where the Middleton girls get their athletic physiques from, onlookers questioned whether Mrs Middleton’s outfit was a little too youthful and might have been more appropriate with a pair of low-heeled court shoes.

The mother of the bride also looked slightly drawn, which could be down to  the strain of wedding preparations or her conversion to the controversial Dukan Diet, based on high-protein foods such as cottage cheese and prawns.

Mrs Middleton and Pippa have been indulging in an increasing amount of  retail therapy as the April 29 wedding draws closer.

On Monday they spent several hours browsing high-end designer stores, including Jimmy Choo and Prada.

Pippa, who will be Kate’s chief bridesmaid, also visited the flower stand on Fulham Road once frequented by the Princess  of Wales.
