Amy Childs tones down her make-up as she takes to the Essex coast for a Vogue magazine shoot

It's not very often that you see Amy Childs out and about without a layer of heavy-duty make-up.

So it came as something of a surprise to see the TOWIE star looking a lot more natural on Saturday as she posed for photos for the prestigious fashion magazine Vogue.

The 21-year-old beautician opted for a more sophisticated look for the shoot - which in keeping with the spirit of the ITV2 show took place on the Essex coast.

And she kept her outfit simple for the photos, wearing a clinging black minidress, teamed with matching black leather jacket and high-heeled ankle boots.

However Amy appeared to be enjoying the chance to be featured in the magazine, pouting and posing her way through the shoot - and at one point sitting precariously on a bollard in the street while resting her feet on a crate.

There were few glimpses of the delights the coast had to offer though, with photographers seemingly content with a few shots in front of a candyfloss stand and snaps closer to the beach - where the weather was breezier.

Amy's look was far removed from the flouncy, flamboyant Pia Michi creations she has recently been seen out in, including the gold dress she wore to the Baftas and a frilly black number which she wore for her 21st birthday party earlier this month.

But fans of the show may soon have the chance to dress just like her, with reports that production company Lime Pictures is in talks with retailers to produce a fashion range inspired by the show.

Having already brought vajazzles to the high street, The reality TV show's producers are now trying to persuade fashion chains, including New Look, into signing a deal.

According to reports, Lime Pictures registered a trademark for clothing, footwear, headgear and nightwear under the TOWIE brand with the Intellectual Property Office on June 10.

The producers also have plans to produce a range of beauty products inspired by the show.

Meanwhile Amy has denied recent rumours that she is set to leave the ITV2 hit, amidst rumours she was clashing with co-star Mark Wright.

Although a huge hit in the show's first series, which featured her doomed romance with club owner Kirk Norcross, she wasn't such a prominent feautre in the recent second series.

She wrote on Twitter at the time: 'For future records I am not leaving TOWIE.'

Only some of cast of The Only Way Is Essex are expected to return for the third series in September, with producers said to be planning a mass cull of less popular characters.

Erasure's Andy Bell voted off Popstar To Operastar after forgetting the words in sing-off with Joseph Washbourn

Erasure star Andy Bell was the latest celebrity to be voted off Popstar To Operastar tonight after her forgot the words during his sing-off to Toploader frontman Joseph Washbourn.

The star, famous for hits including Drama!, Sometimes and A Little Respect, was in the bottom two after the public vote - then stumbled terribly as he sang Largo Al Factotum from the Barber of Seville.

However, being in danger of eviction appeared to buoy up Dancing In The Moonlight singer Joseph, who actually improved on his version of Torna A Surriento.

Earlier, he'd faced criticism from Rolando Villazón, Katherine Jenkins, Vanessa-Mae and Simon Callow for being too 'pop' in his singing, but impressed enough this time for them to save him and not Andy.

They voted unanimously to send him through to next week's show - but send Andy home.

He goes through to the semi-finals of the ITV1 show next weekend along with Bucks Fizz star Cheryl Baker, former X Factor winner Joe McElderry and Steps singer Claire Richards.

Andy said ruefully afterwards to host Myleene Klass, who looked stunning in a white ruffled dress and sideswept hair: 'I had a complete blank when the song started and I couldn't rescue it at all.

'There's just not enough to learn it all. There's a huge amount of pressure, but I've really loved it it's been fantastic.'

Earlier, Joe had impressed the judges when he tackled arguably the most famous opera aria of all time, Nessun Dorma.

However, he confessed beforehand he had been terrified at the prospect.

He said: 'There was massive, massive amounts of pressure and I had a panic attack this morning thinking I couldn't do it, but I did my best.

Rolando was thrilled, saying: 'You are very young and talented opera singer. Fantastic. That was extremely enjoyable.'

In fact, the judges all choruses in approval, with Simon adding: 'That was fantastic, absolutely thrilling.

'I saw you this afternoon and I knew that you were daunted, but you rose to it and embraced it you were fantastic.'

Vanessa-Mae dubbed  his performance 'brilliant' and Katherine deemed it 'really great.'

Claire also seemed to up her game this week and looked pretty with her blonde hair held back with a plaited headband and wearing an emerald green silk dress with a jewelled belt.

Singing Casta Diva, she got a standing ovation from the crowd.

Katherine was impressed, saying: 'You did really, really well. You showed us you have the nerves under control.

'You would never have been able to do that on week one. I was very moved by that' with Vanessa-Mae concurring: 'It was a beautiful rendition, well done.'

Meanwhile, Cheryl, in a chic blue halternecked floorlength frock, also impressed with her take on Mein Herr Marquis (The Laughing Aria) from Die Fledermaus.

Simon declared it 'adorable' and she got a topnotch 'chakka chakka baby!' from Rolando - but despite Vanessa-Mae saying she 'had a bit of flabby legato' she was through to the semis.

The remaining four will fight for the two remaining places in the final the week after.

Imogen Thomas gets bitten on the bottom by a horse as she attempts to ride cowgirl-style

There must have been many times over the past few weeks that she'd wished she could literally gallop off and escape the Ryan Giggs scandal - and Imogen Thomas appears to be taking the reins on such matters.

The 28-year-old model was seen trying to learn horseriding out in California yesterday - but her equine skills didn't seem to be up to much.

In fact, the horse seemed to bridle at her efforts and instead, bite her squarely on the bum.

The former Big Brother star was actually taking part in a photo shoot in the Californian desert - clearly keen to snaffle up work in the wake of the Giggs fall-out.

However, she showed her novice level of riding from the off when she struggled to actually get in and out of the Western-style saddle.

Although looking hot to trot, instead of wearing sensible jodhpurs, she was wearing hugely-impractical tiny cut-off denim shorts, which would have lead to some serious chafing in the stirrups.

She was also wearing lace up boots rather than riding boots - which lead to the unfortunate buttock/Dobbin interface.

Still, no doubt it's not the first time a beast has taken a fancy to her bottom...

Welsh beauty Imogen had seemed to be in pain after a particularly uncomfortable dismount, and was left even more sore after the cheeky nip.

However, she seemed to find the whole thing hilarious and laughed heartily despite being left bruised in various places after the shoot despite the antics of the naughty nag.

As reported by the Mail earlier today, Imogen's antics out of the saddle appear to have been overlooked however by Ryan Giggs's wife.

Stacey has apparently chosen to forgive his serial philandering on a make-or break holiday in Majorca.

Manchester United and Wales footballer Giggs, 37, and the mother of his two children were seen walking together on the Spanish island.

Elisabetta Canalis is not short of admirers as she flashes her legs on night out to get over ex George Clooney

She was used to being whisked around on private jets and luxury yachts during her two year relationship with George Clooney.

But after their split last week, the 32-year-old Italian model had to walk around the streets of Rome like any other regular girl now that she has lost her A-List boyfriend.

Canalis, however, is seemingly not tempted to turn into a shrinking violet and flashed her long tanned legs in a pair of tiny black shorts on Friday to show George what he's missing.

She paired it with a simple white T-shirt and teetered on the cobbled streets in black ankle boots.

Canalis walked to the Assunta Madre restaurant in Rome with a group of girlfriends who were protective of her as she garnered a lot of attention from passers-by.

The television host was reportedly dumped by the eternal bachelor after a 'blazing row' in his Italian villa on Lake Como last week.

'[The breakup] is a very personal and sad matter, and Elisabetta wants it to remain that way.

'She will be taking some time... and then will face the press. She has not authorised me to say when the split happened,' her publicist told People magazine.

Just hours before the tempestuous bust up last week the couple had enjoyed a romantic dinner at their favourite hillside restaurant where onlookers said they resembled 'cooing lovebirds.'

But the atmosphere became very different when they returned to Clooney's villa where he was enjoying a few days off from shooting his latest movie in London.

Sources said the Ocean's Star flipped after being being 'pressed' about marriage by Canalis - who two weeks ago had given a gushing interview about how she was 'living a fairytale' and hoped to wed the actor.

Earlier this month, Canalis suggested marriage could be on the cards as she addressed Clooney’s reputation as an eternal bachelor, saying: 'I could never be with someone who every time he opens his mouth says he doesn’t want a child with me or to marry me.'

But it appears he was not on the same wave length and after a furious row she stormed out of his Villa Oleandra on the shores of Lake Como and drove off to nearby Milan to be with friends.

Canalis had also been unhappy at the fact that she had been on holiday to Mexico on her own recently as well as attending the Cannes film festival without her famous boyfriend.

Alfonso Signorini, editor of the magazine that Canalis had spoken to and a close friend of hers, said:'It's all over - and it has come as a real surprise to me. They were getting on really well.

Signorini also dismissed claims in several Italian newspapers that the relationship was a publicity stunt and said:'I've heard all this and I can tell you it was all for real. They were deeply affectionate towards each other.

Karen Gillan, pictured leaving The Box nightclub in London last week, was found naked in a New York hotel corridor after a night of riotous partying

It's the kind of awkward situation where she could have done with a  Tardis to take her away.

Doctor Who star Karen Gillan was found naked in a New York hotel corridor after a night of riotous partying.

Miss Gillan, 23, who plays the Time Lord’s assistant Amy Pond, was seen ‘whimpering’ in the nude by guests at 7am before security arrived, wrapped her in a sheet and escorted her to her room.

Her appearance prompted guests to nickname her ‘Lady Godiva’.

She and co-stars including Matt Smith, who plays the Doctor, had been put up at The Ace, one of Manhattan’s trendiest hotels, during a promotional trip.

After fulfilling their duties, the cast and crew enjoyed ‘one long party’, according to fellow guests. One permanent male guest told the Daily Mail he heard someone trying to open his door at 7am.

The resident, who later identified the stranger as Miss Gillan, said: ‘I went to the peephole and looked out. I saw a man at the lift who was looking back at someone who was attempting to open my door… the next thing I saw was a woman giving this person at my door two towels before getting into the lift and leaving.

‘Then I saw this young woman, completely naked, trying to wrap two towels around her and not having much luck.

‘She then started to whimper and knock on my door. Seeing that she wasn’t  getting anywhere, she lay down with the towels covering her.’

Security then arrived, noticed her room key and wrapped her up and took her back to her suite. The resident added: ‘I never saw Lady Godiva again.’

Suzanne Leonara, another resident, said: ‘This girl looked as though she hadn’t been to bed. Everyone who saw her thought she was completely zonked out.’

Whatever happened in New York failed to dull Miss Gillan’s appetite for a party. Last week she was pictured at notorious London nightclub The Box.

The U.S. trip, organised by BBC Worldwide, the Corporation’s commercial arm, took place in April.

Last night a BBC Worldwide spokesman said: ‘We’re unaware of this alleged incident.’ Miss Gillan’s spokesman declined to comment.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley breathtaking in barely-there blue gown at London premiere of Transformers 3

She's had enough practice as her years as a model on the catwalk - and it seems that Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is turning her movie red carpet outings into something of an art form.

The ravishing Victoria's Secret model, 24, had the crowds gasping at the London screening of her debut film Transformers 3: Dark Of The Moon tonight when she turned up in a risqué midnight blue gown.

The backless satin dress, custom made for her by Burberry, was slashed almost to her navel with only modest drapes of material over her breasts to keep her decent.

Yet the star, who had her hair in a chic up-do, managed to look classy at the same time - quite a feat.

It appears that some judiciously-placed toupé tape on her top half was most definitely keeping the star from revealing more of her curves than she intended.

Just last night, she looked equally incredible in a sparkling silver gown for the German premiere of her first ever movie in Berlin.

She's been pushing out all the stops to get maximum coverage for her role in the movie, which she wrested from Megan Fox, by wearing a series of show-stopping outfits over the past few weeks while promoting to film around the globe.

She was joined on the scarlet carpet at the IMAX cinema in London's Waterloo by a host of the cast of The Only Way Is Essex.

Red headed glamour model Maria Fowler tried to give Rosie a run for her money in a strappy black and silver floorlength dress with thigh slashes, but pretty as she is, it was no contest.

She was joined by her TOWIE co-star Sam Faiers who was wearing a revealing capsleeved scarlet that revealed her impressive cleavage, and Jessica Wright in a white palazzo pant suit.

Sam was squired by her equally 'reem' boyfriend Joey Essex, who had ditched the skinny jeans for once and looked smart in slacks, open-necked shirt and tan loafers.

Other stars at the premiere tonight including chat show host Jeremy Kyle, Golden Compass star Dakota Blue Richards, fashion desinger Christopher Kane, and reality TV stars Calum Best and girlfriend Georgia Salpa.

Calum and Georgia met on the set of Irish reality show Celebrity Salon earlier this year.
Transformers 3: Dark Of The Moon meanwhile opens in the UK on 29 June.

Ryan Giggs and Stacey Cooke seem to have overcome their problems as they stroll in Majorca

He cheated on her with his own brother’s wife.

However, despite that humiliation it appears Ryan Giggs’ cuckolded wife Stacey has chosen to forgive his serial philandering.

Manchester United and Wales footballer Giggs, 37, and the mother of his two children were seen walking together on the Spanish island of Majorca.

Mrs Giggs, 32, who wed the multi-millionaire winger in 2007, did not hold his hand – nor was she wearing a wedding ring.

However, the pair’s holiday together marked the clearest indication yet that Giggs has persuaded his wife to stay with him, despite his affairs.

As the pair walked with their children on the holiday isle, Mrs Giggs appeared solemn and sombre while her husband seemed ill-at-ease.

Mrs Giggs is said to have told the star this is his ‘last chance’ after a series of intense discussions over their future at the luxury villa where the couple and their children - Liberty, eight, and Zach, five - have been staying in recent weeks.

One friend said: ‘She has had to search deep to find forgiveness for Ryan. Luckily for him she is very strong.

‘She believes in marriage and wants it to work. She has not given him an easy ride and he will need to prove to her he will never cheat on her again.

Ryan knows he is on his very last chance.’
The friend went on: ‘It has been the worst time of Stacey’s life but getting away together as a family has helped give them the time to talk about what has happened.

‘There is a long way to go but this make-or-break holiday has worked and they are back on track.

‘Some women may be amazed that Stacey she has forgiven him for what he has done, but she loves him and can’t face life without him.”

Mrs Giggs – who first started dating the sportsman in 2001 - flew to the Majorcan hideaway first, as the scandal over his sex-life engulfed him last month.

The star – who earns £80,000 a week and is said to be worth £34million – then joined her earlier this month.

The family are staying in a £22,000-a-week, seven-bedroom villa. It has been booked for five weeks.

Giggs was named in the House of Commons last month for securing a gagging order over his affair with former Big Brother contestant and glamour model Imogen Thomas, 28.

It then emerged he had an affair over an eight-year period with his brother Rhodri’s wife Natasha and even paid for her to have an abortion.

Rhodri, 34, last week returned from holiday in Portugal after serving wife Natasha, 28, with divorce papers on their first wedding anniversary.

Natasha, who is on holiday in Spain with friends, is said to be considering counter-suing over his alleged affair with brunette Danielle Healy.

Beyoncé was wearing tiny black hotpants and a gold sequinned jacket to headline the last day of the Glastonbury Festival

The hoped-for duet with Jay-Z might not have happened - but Beyoncé blew most of the doubters out of the water last night with her Bootylicious performance to close the Glastonbury Festival last night.

The star was watched by her rapper husband and friend Gwyneth Paltrow as well as 170,000 people on Worthy Farm in Somerset as she tore through an impressive hour and a half set.

Wearing just black hotpants and a gold belted jacket with her hairy blowing curly and free in the evening breeze, at times, she appeared overcome with emotion at the reception she was given.

And even though she's more used to playing to fans in slick arena shows rather than to thousands of festival goers stuck in the mud, she appeared to totally win over the crowd.

Playing a greatest hits set of mostly her own and Destiny's Child tunes, she also covered tracks including Etta James's At Last, Kings Of Leon's Sex On Fire and Alanis Morrisette's You Oughta Know.

Bizarrely, she also duetted with Tricky for song Baby Boy, but the Bristol-born rapper looked rather uncomfortable up there with her on the Pyramid Stage.

However, she kept fans happy, kicked off with a firework-punctuated Crazy In Love.

She seemed thrilled to be there, declaring: ‘You are witnessing my dream! Thankyou for having me and my band tonight, I always wanted to be a rock star and tonight we are all rock stars.'

She also included tracks including Single Ladies - which of course she did the dance to, in her sparkly black high heeled ankle boots - If I Were A Boy, Independent Women, Bootylicious and Survivor as well as new single Who Run The World (Girls) before closing with an anthemic Halo.

At the end of her ground-breaking set, she declared: 'Can I just say "I love you" to Coldplay and U2, and thanks again for this beautiful night, I will never forget it. I love you all!'

She then disappeared into a glowing pyramid at the back of the set - literally built because it was on the Pyramid Stage.

The star - the first female to headline the festival in more than 20 years - was playing with an all-female band including a horn section with some male backing dancers to even things up a bit.

The star didn't please everyone, however.

Radio 1 DJ Zane Jone churlishly refused to comment on her set in a discussion with BBC 6 Music presenter Lauren Laverne - and caused outrage on Twitter.

Lauren had been saying why Beyonce was a great pop artist who'd put in a fantastic performance in the true spirit of Glastonbury and asked Lowe his thoughts.

But Lowe mockingly burst out laughing before simply saying rudely: 'I went and watched Queens Of The Stoneage. Here's Kool And The Gang.'

He had been due to continue hosting the aftershow coverage on the channel - but when it became clear that Beyoncé was going to be doing an interview following her set, he made a rather see-through excuse that he had to leave the site.

BBC Radio 2 DJ Jo Whiley then stepped in to do the interview with Lauren instead.

Already out of her stage costume and wearing jeans and wellies, Beyoncé appeared to be happy with her set.

Beyoncé had done her homework the night before too, and was seen down the front of the stage in the VIP section with rap star husband Jay-Z last night watching Coldplay wrap up Saturday's bill on the Pyramid Stage - and perhaps getting some last minute inspiration.

Beyoncé was seen dressed down in a hoodie dancing and singing along to the band with her husband and frontman Chris Martin's wife Gwyneth.

She told Lauren and Jo that it had made her feel better about what she had to do last night.

She confessed: 'It made me feel a lot better last night, you realise people just want to listen to great music. I just thought, this is just beautiful. I just thought, calm down girl!'

And she said the weather had worked out well for her too, laughing: 'I'm happy it was sunny, it was beautiful today!'

The diva closed the three-day bash last night, and revealed that she was so nervous about it, she'd talked about her set with both Coldplay and Friday night's headliners U2.

Talking in an interview on Saturday with the BBC, Beyoncé said that she felt privileged to be closing the festival at Worthy Farm in Somerset - and she even didn't mind the squelchy conditions under foot.

Pronouncing the name of the al fresco fandango as 'Glaston-berry', she said: 'My first impression of Glastonbury, well, it's fascinating to see everybody in the mud, it's like they're all united as one.

'Everyone's so free, everyone's so diverse.'

As for her preparations for her show last night, she said: 'I'm the biggest fan of U2 and I'm the biggest fan of Coldplay, they are genius, so I've spoken to both of them about my setlist. I'm so excited to share the stage with them.

'For Glastonbury to recognise that women have the power to headline, that's amazing, and I'm proud that I am the chosen woman. I am going to rock!'

Apart from the likes of Zane Lowe, most people would agree she did a pretty good job...

Last night saw a textbook closing set from Coldplay, playing their third headlining set on the Pyramid Stage in nine years, at the festival that they claim is their spiritual home.

It followed Friday's effort from U2, which saw frontman Bono win overall positive plaudits despite battling against the pouring rain.

Yesterday also saw a polished surprise performance from Pulp on the Park Stage - where Kate Moss was turned away from the backstage area - and tonight's bill also features Pendulum, Queens Of The Stoneage, The Streets and Suzanne Vega.

Earlier, Jaime Winstone was seen laughing with friends, enjoying Plan B from the side of the Pyramid Stage.
