EastEnders star Jo Joyner strips off for her new BBC comedy show Candy Cabs

We're not sure that it's something that Tanya Branning would approve of.

So it's just as well that Jo Joyner was hundreds of miles away from Albert Square when she decided to get her kit off.

The actress, who plays the long-suffering beautician in EastEnders, is starring in a new comedy that starts tonight on BBC One.

Jo, 33, stars as Jackie O'Sullivan, the boss of an all-female mini taxi company called Candy Cabs.

And in these scenes, which air tonight on the first episode at 9pm, O'Sullivan and her employees strip off for their weekly weigh-in, much to her business partner's disgust.

Set in the north of England, Candy Cabs tells the story fo O'Sullivan and Elaine Partridge, played by Lisa Millett, who open a can company for women, run by women

In these scenes, Stella, played by former Bread star Melanie Hill, lines up the female employees - Amanda, played by Claire Sweeney, Sally-Anne, played by Danielle Henry, Big Pam, played by Lu Corfield and Diane, played by Jodie Prenger - for their weekly Fat Club weigh-in.

The three part series starts tonight on BBC One, and also stars Paul Nicholls, Denis Lawson and John Henshaw.

Paul Kaye and Ricky Whittle also make up the boys among the all-female cast.

Jo filmed the series while on maternity leave from EastEnders last year and said that although she loves playing Tanya Branning, filming Candy Cabs was a breath of fresh air.

Speaking to the  Radio Times, she said: 'It was lovely playing someone who wasn't constantly crying or doing "the Walford sigh".

'Going up north with a wonderful group of women was so much fun - as was working on something that is easy to watch for a change.'
