UNAIDS Goodwill Ambassador : Preity Zinta

Preity Zinta was selected UNAIDS Goodwill Ambassador and plans to combine Cricket and Bollywood to raise awareness about the deadly disease.

The 35-year-old actress, who is the co-owner of IPL team Kings XI Punjab, will donate 25 percent of the profits made by her team to charities selected by the UN.

"The players of my team will be wearing ribbons for the cause of HIV-AIDS. Someone living with HIV will come on the field and toss for our matches. Me and my team will also be making field trips in Punjab," the actress told reporters here.

Preity will be making public service message films for UNAIDS featuring herself and the players which will be in English, Hindi and Punjabi.

She promised to ask for support from the film society, who she noted are always up for a cause.

"I'll try to garner support from Bollywood. No one ever says no and I am sure if they have the time, they'll be available for it," Preity said.

Katrina Kaif will be in sequel of The Italian Job

There are rumors that Katrina Kaif is having second judgment about starring in Abbas Mustan’s remake of the 2003 Hollywood film, “The Italian Job” as her role is quite immaterial.

A source says, “at first, Katrina had decided to do the film. However, after going through the script, Katrina realized that she does not like her role.”

A spate of hits seems to have distorted Katrina’s stance towards the film. “Gone are the days when she signed films conflicting big heroes without bothering about her role. Today, Katrina is very exacting about her roles too,” adds the source.

As things stand today, she is dilly-dallying to sign on the dotted line unless her role in the film is sizeable enough.

Another cause why Katrina is doubtful to do this film is for the reason that one of the male lead actors was changed. “Earlier she was very kicked about the film because Saif was part of it. However, after Saif opted out of the project, her awareness soon diminished,” says the source.

before I forget, this is the third film in the last three months that Katrina has had second opinion about. It may be recalled that she had earlier opted out of Sanjay Gadhvi’s 7 Days In Paris. Just a few days ago, she had also refused to star in Anees Bazmee’s Thank You opposite Akshay Kumar despite agreeing to be part of it initially.

As for remake of “The Italian Job”, she might change her mind and star in the Abbas Mustan film if she’s satisfied with the changes in the script. Meanwhile, the directors are clueless as to why Katrina is hesitant to be part of the film and is asking them to make changes in the script.

Despite constant calls and text messages, Katrina and Abbas Mustan remained occupied for comment.

Priyanka Chopra will marry Gerard Butler

Priyanka Chopra found a Gora admirer, i.e. Gerard Butler. And he was so beginning over heels in love with her that he curve down on his knees and proposed her. Though Priyanka denies any love brewing between them, but rumors are rife that Butler went to meet her on the sets of ‘Anjaana Anjaani,’ in NY and they spend a full day together. Still, Pri chops is obdurate of any love relation with him.

But we think that it will be great if she goes around with him, and become a couple. Here are a few reasons for that:

   1. We do have a attraction for fare skin, and Gerard is a Scottish born hunk. So Priyanka, just go ahead and fulfill the everlasting nightmare.

   2. Who else has a ten pack abs in the whole country? Gerard has. You don’t believe; just see his blockbuster 300, where he flaunted his chiseled body. Yeah, the 9th and the 10th pack were faint, but you see properly, it was there. And the paunch which he flaunts now a days, that, is a Computer imagery.

   3. In spite of being an ex Miss World, she hasn’t got any of global assignments yet. It is a great chance for her to use Gerard as a ladder to climb up into the Hollywood. Though he himself don’t have a great track record in west, except 300, P.S I love you, and Phantom of the Opera, but Priynaka has a good chance to milk him because, a new celebrity girlfriend always gets more attention.

   4. Actresses in India tend to marry NRIs. Since time is changing, so a Hollywood star will always be better catch than an NRI.

   5. Since he is taking a great interest in shooting of Priyanka’s new movie, so he can opt for Bollywood, and who knows, we might get a permanent Hollywood star in Bollywood.

So please Priyanka, go ahead and marry him.

In spite of losing out the pair were patterned chatting vivaciously and looking very cosy together as they partied at the Vanity Fair after-party, reported Daily Mail online.
