Sonam Kapoor refuses to kiss Shahid Kapoor

Sonam Kapoor won't kiss her Mausam co-star Shahid Kapoor
and was shocked when she was asked to do so at the last minute, during the Scotland schedule.

It took her completely unaware as there had been no talk of any kissing scene when she signed on. She was never told that there would be a liplock with Shahid. No mention of it was made even during the detailed script narrations.

Says a unit source, "Sonam was taken aback when the director (and co-star Shahid's dad Pankaj) told her about it. She flatly refused."

There was high drama on the sets with Pankaj frantically calling Sonam's dad Anil in desperation to save the situation. But the actress was adamant.

Adds the source, "It was at Shahid's behest that a kissing scene was created. He put forth the idea to his father who complied with his request. Shahid feels that like Aamir Khan he, too, should kiss all his heroines. He felt it would add more passion to the scene."

Sonam maintains, "There was no kissing scene in Mausam. It's complete fabrication that I refused to do such a scene."

But the source says, "When Sonam realised that it was her hero's demand, she became even more adamant about not doing the kiss and was in no mood to listen to anyone on the subject."

Incidentally, Sonam kisses Abhay Deol in her home production Aisha which releases this week. Shahid has locked lips with Kareena Kapoor
(Jab We MetKaminey) and Anushka Sharma (Badmaash Company).

The last time the duo came together in Jab We Met, they created some awesome magic on screen. Director Satish Kaushik who can’t stop praising the two actors, says, “People want to see them together after Jab We Met. The whole thing about finding one’s true love is a very thrilling thought. The thought of looking for your love is what has kept romantic films so much in demand. And frankly, romance never goes out of fashion,” he says.

Besides this movie bringing back Kareena and Shahid on screen once again, it has some unique moments. Like Shahid dressing up as a girl. Even more special is Kareena’s tribute to her grandfather — the legendary showman Raj Kapoor.
Kareena, who has often confessed that she is a huge fan of her grandfather’s movies, got a chance to perform on the famous Mera joota hai Japani number from Shree 420. Director Satish Kaushik, who came up with idea, praises the Kapoor girl, saying, “She is so hardworking and an absolute professional. But beyond that she is crazy about movies,” he says.

The movie is a love story where a guy and a girl fall in love, but then part ways. However, destiny has some other plans in store for this made-for-each-other couple. The journey of these two lovers ensures that the movie maintains it’s pace. Kaushik says, “One of the reasons why this movie works is because it has a fast pace. In fact, I can say that this is the most fast-paced movie I have made. The audience travels along with the characters.” And who wouldn’t want to be a part of this jodi’s romantic ride, especially when it could be the last one.

Shahid Kapoor and Genelia D'souza spent a night in a car together

Stars are going to many lengths for film promotions leading up to its release day. The latest advertising event was when the on-screen couple of Chance Pe Dance, Shahid Kapoor and Genelia D'souza spent a night in a car together.

actually, this was the first advertising of its kind that Bollywood has ever seen. They were behind tinted glass and slept in their seats with an spectators outside with no makeup or any crew around.

In an interview with the media about the unusual event, Genelia said, “Our characters believe in making the most of each day which is exactly what our attempt suggests.” Shahid added, “It should be fun... Genelia is quite entertaining.”

Shahid, Genilia and Ken Ghosh (director of Chance Pe Dance) didn’t forget about their Twitter followers. From the event, Genelia tweeted, “Havin a gr8 time..Shahid,ken,ahmed n me r freakin out n d media is really liftin r spirits.. Kudos 2dem n 2all of ul who r watchin us: )”

Prior to the event, Shahid simply said, “So I'm spendin da nite in a car”. A few hours later, he tweeted, “Still in da car still awake .... :)” followed by, “Roadtrips r so much fun man”.

Ken uploaded a photo of toothpaste graffiti saying, “Using toothpaste shahid made a poster on the windscreen of the car “.

The duo seemed to be full of energy even after the event, as Genelia sent the following tweets:

“Wat an event.Super super super..Stayd up d whole nite..can't believe I actually didn't sleep a wink..”

She went on to say that the event was very candid with the media with everyone feeling like “one big team”. Finally, “Good night tweeple.. Off 2sleep bein totally satisfied wit d event.. N a big shout out 2all u guys who follwd us on d live coverage “

Judging from his tweets, Shahid said he was sleep deprived and tweeted, “Bak home wat a nite .... Super fun not slept a wink ......”

Future Bollywood film promotions will have to do somewhat quite offensive to top what the team of Chance Pe Dance has done!

Shahid sculpts eight-pack abs for Chance Pe Dance

Shahid Kapoor's all-new look is set to impress in the upcoming Chance Pe dance

Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh flaunted six-pack abs, but Shahid Kapoor is doing two better -- he will show off eight-pack abs in his forthcoming film Chance Pe Dance.

Trainer Abbas Ali said they managed to achieve the new look in a very short time for Chance Pe Dance, directed by Ken Ghosh.

"Shahid had to look cosmetically presentable. After Kaminey we had only two months in hand to change his complete look. It's Shahid's sheer hard work, dedication and consistency that transformed him from what he used to look a couple of years ago to his present look," Abbas said. "His body in Chance Pe Dance is better than all his previous films. Shahid told me that dancers are coming from abroad and he wants to look like god and move like god. I had to change the entire training to bring that look along with flexibility and muscle endurance which was required for his dance performance," he said.

Shahid first started working on his body for Vishal Bharadwaj's Kaminey as he had to run with horses in a scene.

"Shahid didn't have a muscular body. I was training him only for fitness. Shahid didn't want a picture perfect body in Kaminey because the film shows that he comes from street and doesn't workout in high-tech gym," said Abbas.

For Chance Pe Dance Shahid needed a sculpted body and practiced five days a week. He also had to work on his diet.

"Shahid is a vegetarian and he doesn't even takes eggs so first-class protein, which is required to build lean muscle, was not there. White carbohydrate was removed from his diet, like white potatoes and pasta. We added brown carbohydrate like brown rice, sweet potato, oats instead.

"We didn't go for low carbohydrates because if you go for low carbohydrates your performance level goes down in real life. He has to dance so we couldn't go for low carbohydrates."

Chance Pe Dance, in which Shahid plays a struggling actor opposite Genelia D'Souza, is set for a January 15 release.
