Dabangg-2 has a new director

Before few weeks, Salman Khan and his brother-producer Arbaaz Khan made official announcements on the sequel of ‘Dabangg’. It was expected that the same trio Salman-Arbaaz-director Abhinav Kashyap will be working on the sequel. Unexpectedly due to some creative difference of opinions, Abhinav has walked out of the project letting Arbaaz Khan to wear the director’s hat. Yes, it’s final and official. Salman Khan’s brother Arbaaz Khan will be making his directorial debut with ‘Dabangg’.

Inside reports mention that Abhinav sent a SMS to Salman and Arbaaz that he is no more interested in working with them. In fact, the news was confirmed by Arbaaz himself as he told media channels that they are disappointed with Abhinav Kashyap’s attitude.

So let’s wish Arbaaz all success as a filmmaker…

Salman Khan and Asin not to shoot hot and steamy intimate scene

Asin Thottumkal shot to fame, by making a dream debut in Bollywood, opposite Aamir Khan in “Ghajini”. She was already a craze in the south Indian film industry, and “Ghajini” made her popular in Bollywood too. Keralite Asin started acting when she was just 14 years old.

After the release of her second Hindi film “London Dreams” where she was paired opposite Salman Khan, news of Salman and Asin’s affair surfaced, but a while later this news fell flat. Now, that this hot onscreen pair is again working together for an upcoming film “Ready”, grapevine has it that both of them have got some steamy hot scenes together. But when Anees Bazmee was questioned about this, he commented “Ready” is a comedy film with no vulgarity. He makes such films that can be watched with whole family.

Bazmee included that there is an intimate song of Salman and Asin, but there is nothing raunchy in it.

“Ready” is being shot in Sri Lanka, although it was previously scheduled to be shot in Mauritius. The first schedule of the movie is 10 to 15 days long. The movie is produced by T-Series.

It seems media has goofed up the news of the duo doing hot scenes, which is nothing else than a rumour.

Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor will be in a remake of The Bodyguard

Bollywood has been greatly ‘inspired’ by regional and Hollywood films. Remakes of popular South Indian films like Ghajini and Wanted have broken box-office records, while desi movies like Chori Chori, Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha and Partner inspired from Hollywood flicks, have entertained us.

2010 saw Karan Johar producing We Are Family, the official remake of the Susan Sarandon-Julia Roberts starrer Stepmom.

In 2011, movie buffs can expect six films that are remakes of South Indian, Marathi and Hollywood flicks.

Salman Khan will be seen in three of them. He is paired opposite Asin in Anees Bazmee’s Ready, a remake of the 2008 Telugu film of the same name. He will shed his image of an action star and play a distraught father in Mahesh Manjrekar’s Hindi remake of Shikshanacha Aaicha Gho and will romance Kareena Kapoor in Bodyguard, a remake of a Malayalam comedy film by the same name.

Salman khan gets advance birth day gift from Katrina Kaif,

Now this is news! When everybody is speculating whether there is a strain in the friendship between Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif especially after it was reported that the macho Bollywood actor's digs about Ranbir Kapoor did not go down too well with Kat, TOI spotted Sallu's ex-flame paying him a visit on Saturday night.

Kat drove into Salman's Galaxy pad in Bandstand (Bandra) late evening and even stayed there for at least one-and-a-half hours bonding with him as well as his family members. We hear that she was there to wish him in advance for his brithday. Family sources tell us that Salman was very friendly with Kat and vice versa and they had a blast chatting up after ages as both were busy with their respective shooting commitments. "Kat had some food at Salman's pad and caught up on some hearty conversation.

By the way they were interacting with each other, nothing seems to be wrong between the relationship that they have been sharing. Kat continues to be close to the entire Khan family and considers Salman to be her advisor and, most importantly, a very close friend. Salman, too, is quite fond of her. They hugged each other and spent at least one hour with just each other." What's also interesting is that Salman even escorted Kat all the way to her car when she was leaving and waited at the door waving to her till her car zoomed away.

Asin 'marries' Salman on screen

She says after Malayali, Tamil and Telugu weddings, this is her first Punjabi shaadi on screen.

The press in the South is claiming that Asin tied the knot with Salman Khan earlier this week in the presence of close friends.

According to these reports, her parents weren't invited and stormed into the wedding mid-way and tried to stop it.

The actress sighs deeply when responding, "At last, the rumours are coming true. Salman and I are finally married. It's a first for both of us. Too bad, it is only in a movie (Anees Bazmee's Ready). But Salman can't stop joking about the "solemn" occasion," said Asin.

"Hey guys, I've finally done it," Salman has been shouting across the location at Film City to anyone in hearing distance.

The "news" of Asin's wedding has reached her native place Kerala.

When a local paper announced Asin's "marriage" with Salman with photographic evidence, the actress was flooded with congratulatory messages, with her fan base and relatives in Kerala wondering why she chose to marry without inviting near and dear ones.

She laughs, "You know, I'm quite enjoying the joke about my wedding. I've been in my bridal outfit taking the saat pheras, for a week now. I almost feel I'm really married. The family opposition that is being talked about is also part of the script."

Asin adds that she never knew that getting married was so much fun and adventure. She says, "I've gone through Malayali, Tamil and Telugu marriages. But this is my first Punjabi wedding. And I love it. I even danced at my sangeet to Laung Gawacha."

In fact, both Asin and Salman have decided they will get married Punjabi style, if and when it happens. "It's a pact. It will be a big fat Punjabi wedding."

Salman Khan is a 'Bad-Ass Robin Hood' in 'Dabangg'

We already knew that Salman Khan is the bad boy of Bollywood so it only makes sense that he plays a 'bad-ass' police inspector in his upcoming movie Dabangg.

Salman Khan's brother, Arbaaz Khan, produced the film and Abhinav Kashyap, who also wrote the story with Dilip Shukla, directed the film that reminds us of a gold old western. Wanted action coordinator S Vijayan is back and according to the buzz, he has come up with some pretty 'bad-ass' stunts for Sallu who has not starred in a box-office his since the 2009 action flick.

Salman plays police officer Chulbul Pandey, who is described as "fearless, corrupt, lovable and a bad-ass Robin Hood." The action movie is set Uttar Pradesh and it tells the story of Chulbul Pandey, a corrupt police inspector and depicts the flaws of the system in states like Uttar Pradesh and  Bihar.

Aside from Salman Khan, Dabangg stars Arbaaz Khan, newcomer Sonakshi Sinha, Dimple Kapadia, Om Puri and Anupam Kher. With a cast like that what could possibly go wrong?

And Arbaaz admits that it was great having Salman by his side to give him advice on the set: "Salman is a very experienced superstar. This (Dabangg) happens to be his brother's production, which makes it a 'ghar ki baat.' He is the star of the film. I considered every suggestion from Salman to be like words written in gold and we incorporated them accordingly," the producer told reporters.

"I don't think Salman has contributed more from behind-the-camera to any of his films...He has added considerably to the film's overall mood and feeling, especially in the action scenes," he added.

The action flick is coming out in time for Eid on September 10, will you go and see it? Check out the trailer for Dabangg and let us know what you think.

Farah Khan signed Salman Khan for Om Shanti Om’s sequel.

Farah Khan has reportedly signed Shahrukh Khan, also known as SRK’s arch rival Salman Khan for Om Shanti Om’s sequel.
Of late Farah and Sallu have been bonding big time, published reports have said, even though director Farah Khan and Shah Rukh Khan were known to be the best of buddies not very long time ago. “But the friendship seems to have gone awry,” reported Hindustan Times.
On a dance reality tv show where Farah Khan and Sallu make an appearance, the equation between them was for all to see.
On the show, Salman joked about him being the first choice for Farah’s directorial ventures, Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om and Farah admitted that it was true. Farah then assured Salman to be in the sequels of both the film. We assume it was a joke, but who knows, Farah’s statement might have some truth.
On being asked to comment on the issue by media, SRK chose to follow the “silence is golden” rule!.
A Bollywood source, however, has a different story to tell. “One look at SRK and you could tell he was miffed. He had been in a good mood, answering all our queries, but just when someone touched upon the Farah-Salman chapter, the smile on Shah Rukh’s face faded.”

Salman Khan as Mogambo in Mr India 2 of Rs 100 crore in 3 D

Salman Khan, the macho super star of bollywood who never played the part of a villain in his acting career, is all set to step into the shoes of Amrish Puri with his famous tagline ‘Mogambo Khush Hua’ in upcoming Rs 100 crore sequel to blockbuster ‘Mr. India’ being made by Boney Kapoor.

Salman Khan is predictable to restructure the magic of Mogambo with use of finest SFX artists from Hollywood and enacting his role in 3 D format. Taking his stimulation from James Cameron’s blockbuster ‘Avatar’, which was in 3D, Boney Kapoor wants to make this tap even greater hit at the box office than his earlier ‘Wanted’ was at the box office.

Besides Salman Khan, the film will also have Anil Kapoor and Sridevi continuing with their seductive part in the sequel.  The film will also have a known pair of bollywood actors to add glamour for youngsters and gen X, who were not privy to original ‘Mr. India’.   Presently, the script is being finalized by two writers and one of these two will be chosen by producer Boney Kapoor.

It is only after that will go for a director to helm the ambitious project. It is unlikely that Shekhar Kapur, who had directed the first part, will agree to this project and most probably someone else will have to be selected by Boney to do the job.

Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor together in "Sangini

With the recent flop of Kurbaan, the advertiser is turning their face off from Saifeena it seems! Well the news is that our very own Sallu and Bebo is coming together in an ad for a jewellery collection named ‘Sangini’ that caters to both men and women! But with all of our astonishment we won’t find Saif Ali Khan in it!

Sallu seems the obvious choice when you consider his fetish for amulets and bracelets. Sallu and Bebo will be seen celebrating festive occasions like Christmas and New Year with the brand’s stunning jewellery pieces adorning the superstar pair.(apunkachoice.com)

Saif must be disheartened with this fact. Kurbaan in real life with no Saif beside her it seems!

We just have to wait and see how this Main aur Mrs. Khanna duo go about with the ad and attracts the viewer’s attention.

Asin got lucky with London Dreams

After making a smashing Bollywood debut opposite Aamir Khan in Ghajini, all eyes will be on southern superstar, Asin Thottumkal, in her second major release, London Dreams.

The winner of several Filmfare Awards moved to Mumbai to carve a career in the Hindi film industry after Ghajini became a historic hit and producers began queuing up to sign her.

Contrary to popular belief - that Vipul Shah cast the 24-year old in his magnum opus after Ghajini - she was penciled in as Ajay Devgan and Salman Khan's ladylove well before her maiden outing.

In London Dreams, she plays Priya, a young music fanatic who joins Arjun's (Ajay Devgan) rock band in London.

"I had seen Asin in a couple of big South films and really liked her work. I was looking for someone who could essay a beautiful Iyer girl, adept at both classical and western dance, and yet look like she's been born and bred in London,” said Shah. “I signed her even before the first promo of Ghajini came on television. Taking a newcomer opposite two big stars was a risk, but I was confident of her and followed my instinct. When Ghajini clicked, I knew I had made the right decision."

London Dreams releases worldwide on October 30 and is being distributed internationally by Studio 18.
