Megan Fox has signed a lucrative deal with Armani to model underwear and jeans. It is believed that the deal is not far off $2 million, proving that even in a time of recession there is still plenty of money to splash around on such endorsements.Megan Fox is best known for her recent roles in the Transformer movies. The 23-year-old will now be the new face of Armani Jeans and Emporio Armani Underwear for 2010.
A comment from someone in the know to The Associated Press confirmed that that figure was close to $2 million, although wanted to remain anonymous.
Megan Fox’s publicity team have been actively trying to secure a deal with Armani over the last few years. The relationship was helped by Miss Fox who wore Armani outfits at several red carpet events. In Paris last year, Megan met with designer Giorgio Armani at an Armani Prive fashion show.
Victoria Beckham is currently under contract with Armani but this will expire by the end of 2009. With Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen soaring to over $800 million in worldwide box office sales Megan finally became the top candidate for the job. Megan Fox is also appearing in a new film currently showing called Jennifer’s Body, in which she plays a possessed cheerleader.
All though advertising budgets all over the world are down due to the recession, the big brands still see these high paying endorsements as critical to their success.
