Nicolas Cage and Mickey Rourke to Take on Bollywood

 Vidhu Vinod Chopra is making a gangster movie inspired by Parinda starring Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit, so who better to contact than two of Hollywood's most popular action heroes, Mickey Rourke and Nicolas Cage? The movie is scheduled to start shooting early next year.

Nicolas Cage, who starred in hits like Leaving Las Vegas and Raising Arizona, has not been very lucky at the box-office lately. He has starred in movies like The Family Man and Kick-Ass, but has not managed to make a noteworthy comeback on the big screen.

Mickey Rourke shot to international fame in the 80s only to disappear from the Hollywood scene for a decade, before making a strong comeback in the Oscar nominated drama The Wrestler. Since starrring the 2008 box-office hit, Mickey Rourke has been offered roles in various projects and has had prominent parts in movies like Iron Man and The Expendables. He is currently working with Slumdog Millionaire beauty Freida Pinto on the movie Immortals.

If Vidhu Vinod Chopra gets his way and manages to convince the two actors to star in Broken Horses we might just have another successful East meets West collaboration on our hands! And bringing Hollywood stars to Bollywood seems to be somewhat of a trend right now; movie director R. Balki, who worked with Amitabh Bachchan in Paa, recently confirmed that he wants to cast none other than Hollywood big shot Meryl Streep opposite Big B in his next film!

Top 10 best paid person of Hollywood

Will Smith takes the crown of the highest and best paid actor of Hollywood, by making his earning estimated as $80 million over the course of the year. He is also called as the hardest-working man in Hollywood.

The second place is taken by Johnny Depp, who reached even eastern country audiences by his movie Pirates of the Caribbean
. He is well known for his comedy too. His take home of this year is estimated as $72 million.

 

With $55 million, Eddie Murphy wins the third place. He turned as one of my favorite after the movie Shrek, where he gave voice to the character Donkey. Three cheers to donkey. Oops sorry, to Eddie.

Another favorite from the movie Shrek, took the fourth place. Though he had a tie
with Eddie Murphy for third place, the failure of his summer comedy “The Love Guru” failed to hit the box office and placed him in fourth place. An Ogre made him famous.

The first actress to enter the top paid list of this year is Cameron Diaz, who achieved this through her voice in Shrek. She falls in $45-$50 million take home category.

Titanic hit Leonardo DiCaprio managed to get into the top five, by making $45 million during the year. Though his flicks are rarely blockbusters, most of them knock the award academies doors.

With $41 million, Bruce Willis made his way to get sixth place in the top earners of Hollywood. Though he was lagging a little in the beginning, 2008 made him to come back.

The take home of $40 million made Ben to take the seventh piece of the cake
. He is one of the well paid actor for his comedies and funny acts.

His most expensive role “National Treasure, Book
of Secrets” brought him this place, though he is not making much hits now a days.

The next actress to enter the best paid person of Hollywood’s list is Keira Knightley with a paycheck of $32 million. She got this place because of the same movie, which placed Johnny Depp in second place, “Pirates of the Caribbean”.

Last of my list, the person who took the last piece of the winners cake is Will Ferrell. He is one hilarious person, who is well known for his funny actions. His take home of the year was $31 million.
