Saif, Kareena sign Metro shoes
After their successful outing as brand ambassadors for Airtel DTH, real life couple Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor have been chosen to endorse Metro Shoes. Though the official announcement is still due, the sources have it that they have already shot for a commercial with the tagline ‘Happy Feet, Happy People’.
The couple shot for the print ad campaign photographed by Prasad Naik and were styled by Anahita Shroff Adjania (Love Aaj Kal). The ad will be displayed on 100 hoardings across India and near major roads across Mumbai. Just a week earlier, Kareena also shot for her bike ad for Mahindra two wheelers for which she was chosen as brand ambassador.
Siddharth to endorse Peter England
Madura Garments, the retail arm of Aditya Birla Group's apparel business, plans to have 1,000 Peter England stores in three years, according to Kedar Apshankar, Chief Operating Officer. The company had launched a 360 degree marketing plan focussing on the launch of new TV commercials with the introduction of actor Siddharth of Rang De Basanti fame as brand Ambassador. He said Peter England was ready to launch its new campaign where the brand unveils its message ‘beginning of good things', a philosophy that encapsulates the result of applying self-belief. Confirming the same, Siddharth posted on his Twitter account, "So you guys already know - I am the new face of a brand that sells a garment every 6 seconds in India. Yes, I am the new face of Peter England. I'm very excited about this because it’s a brand I've used a lot and still do. You can find my new brand in 425+ exclusive stores spread across 600 towns in India. Siddharth also announced that a television commercial featuring him is set to air soon.

I'm far more comfortable in Tamil now: Aishwarya Rai
After doing her fourth Tamil film, Endhiran, Aishwarya Rai claims to be far more comfortable working in the southern language. She also feels it is the kind of entertainer most leading actresses do though she hasn't done too many of them.
"I am definitely far more comfortable and more confident working in the language. I won't risk breaking into a conversation because I don't do that on a daily basis," said Aishwarya in an interview.
"Probably because I have travelled so much, I am familiar with the language. It falls easy on the ear. I understand it, but I respect the language; so I don't want to break into a conversation in it, unless it's a group which is very forgiving on grammatical errors!"
"You learn dialogues, they are constructed sentences already, but I am far more confident today than I was during Iruvar or Jeans. Today I am far more at ease working in Tamil," said Aishwarya. She has also done the bilingual Raavan.
Filmmaker S Shankar made his latest, a sci-fi flick, in two languages - Endhiran in Tamil and Robot in Hindi - and released them simultaneously Oct 1. Made at a whopping budget of Rs 175 crore ($38 million), it's the costliest Indian film ever.
Aishwarya maintains that her character was easy to essay and she has rarely done films in the typical entertainment genre, unlike many leading heroines.
"The character was not difficult to get into the skin of. It's a kind of role that any leading heroine would do. Probably the kind of roles that a lot of leading heroines do in their career, in my case it has been rare.
"I have not done this kind of character very often in a typical entertaining genre, the kind of character a leading heroine would get.
"He (Shankar) has a made an entertaining film. He has taken entertainment to the next level and has introduced something technically much ahead of what we have seen in recent times. So for me to go on set, it was more exciting to see the film come together. In terms of my contribution, I was just happy to work in this film," said Aishwarya.
This was her second film with Shankar after Jeans in 1998.
Asked what changes she noticed in Shankar as a director, she said: "I think now I know him better. Jeans so early in my career, unlike any newcomers, I was associated with multiple projects at the very first year of my career.
"I was constantly experiencing a different set ambience and a different film I was working in. So, that time we were discovering each other. For me films were new, the technical aspect of films was new and I was working in Tamil. From then till today, we know each other much better."

Megan Fox Teams up with Jennifer Westfeldt
American model and actress Megan Fox is joining the cast of Friends with Kids working alongside writer/producer and actress Jennifer Westfeldt.
Friends with Kids is a comedy film with a plot that focuses on two friends who, according to the Hollywood Reporter, “observe the toll that children take on the couples they know and resolve to bypass that stress by having a child and then dating other people.”
Adam Scott from Monster in Law, Saturday Night Live’s Kristen Wiig and the boyfriend of Westfeldt, Jonn Hamm from the drama series Mad Men will also be joining the comedy ensemble. Both Hamm and Westfeldt will be producing the movie with Jake Kasdan and Mike Nichols as the executive producers.

Kim Kardashian's Canadian Fusion Celebration
Showing up for a scheduled promotional appearance, Kim Kardashian was spotted at the Sherway Gardens shopping mall in Toronto, Canada on Tuesday afternoon (October 19).
Drawing an enormous crowd, the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star introduced her new Fusion beauty products while also engaging in another early birthday celebration by blowing out a candle atop a giant cake.
With her 30th birthday coming up this Thursday (October 21), Kim's schedule has been non-stop - as she promptly darted off to Chicago for more promo duties and birthday libations after the event.
Of the outbound flight, Miss Kardashian tweeted, “Heading down to Chicago for another @MichaelHill cocktail party tonight.”

Shreyas makes Kareena scream
Pranks were the order of the day during the 40-day schedule of Golmaal 3 in Goa. Even Kareena Kapoor wasn’t spared. One night when she was watching a film in her room, along with her staff, Ajay Devgn, Shreyas Talpade and Tusshar Kapoor repeatedly banged on her door, only to disappear when
someone opened it to check.
“Bebo (Kareena) knew it was one of us playing a prank on her, as when they opened the door, they would find no one outside. After a while, she got tired of opening the door and came to us saying she knew about the prank and was not going to fall for it,” says Talpade.
While she was talking to the other co-stars, Talpade slipped into her room and hid in her cupboard. “When she came back to her room, she and her staff were laughing at how the boys failed to pull off the prank on her. While saying this, she opened the cupboard and I jumped out. We yelled at the same time.”
“Luckily she wasn’t angry but accepted that this prank worked. She has a sporting spirit that way,” says Talpade, who plays Laxman, Bebo’s best friend in the film. “My character Laxman stammers a lot and Bebo is the only one who waits to listen to me in the film. Our track has some rib-tickling moments.”
Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal 3 is the story of animosity between two sets of siblings within a family. “I play Gopal’s (enacted by Ajay Devgn) brother. Gopal, a softie at heart, loses his cool at the drop of a hat and I try to pacify him all the time,” says Talpade.

Kim Kardashian is in the middle of a busy week of partying to celebrate her birthday! Kardashian turned 30 this week and is not slowing down in any way, she had 2 birthday parties this week, one in Las Vegas and one in New York.
The first party was in Las Vegas and involved a fancy dinner with her family and some close friends including Kelly Rowland. Khloe, Kourtney Jonathan Cheben were also in attendance. Kim’s mother, Kris Jenner made a beautiful speech to Kim but included some prodding for Kim to have children. Kris Jenner said: “I wish you all the love and happiness, No pressure – but if you happen to find a husband and have 1,000 kids, I’d really be happy.” When she says “no pressure” she means “Kim find a man now!!”.
Later on, Kardashian went to the VIP skybox at the TAO nightclub and started drinking a lot of white russians apparently! Kardashian tweeted about it: “The festivities have started, One white russian coming up! Hmmm who can I drunk dial tonight?” I am sure a lot of guys were hoping for a drunk dial to come their way later in the night.
The Kardashians happily chatted and took photos with fans, and Kelly Rowland even performed one of her songs, to the delight of the crowd.

Angelina Jolie going 3-D in 'Cleopatra'?
Think you can handle Angelina Jolie in 3-D? Better brace yourself, because her upcoming "Cleopatra" film may be getting the multidimensional treatment.
Deadline.com reports that "Avatar" filmmaker James Cameron hopes to direct Jolie in the still-in-development biopic and wants to turn the movie into a big-budget, 3-D extravaganza.
Sony Pictures co-chair Amy Pascal is said to be equally eager to get the movie made, thanks to a brilliant script and the simple fact that Jolie was born to play the role.
For her part, Jolie, 35, has reportedly had a lifelong fascination with Cleopatra, and when asked about playing the Queen of the Nile in a movie, she said in July, "I would be honored." Deadline reports that she has since gotten more involved with the project and has been doing a great deal of research on her subject.
"We are trying to uncover the truth about her as a leader and not just a sex symbol, which she really wasn't," Jolie has said. "She didn't have many lovers, maybe only two, and they're men she had children with."
The "Cleopatra" movie, which focuses on what the Romans took from Egypt, is based on Stacy Schiff's novel "Cleopatra: A Life." Like Sony's Pascal, Schiff has said Jolie would make the ideal Cleo.

The interesting part about the Kim Kardashin parties is the fact that Kardashian's actual birthday isn't until October 21.

Celebrity Apprentice cast spotted, includes Atlanta Housewives
New York - The upcoming eleventh installment of 'The Apprentice' -- featuring a who's who of celebrity personalities-- is gearing up to be the most diverse and interesting cast yet and they cast has been seen out and about in New York City.
Though NBC and Donald Trump have yet to formally confirm what big-name superstars would be participating in the new reality competition series, because taping kicked off this week in NYC, news has already leaked of some of the show's big names.
The sixteen celebrity hopefuls recently gathered at the real estate mogul's Trump Tower Penthouse for a private cocktail party in New York, but until now the final cast list was kept on the down-low.
According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' star Nene Leakes is the final addition to the cast. The 'Never Make the Same Mistake Twice' author will go head-to-head with former TV personality Star Jones and music acts like Lil' Jon, Dionne Warwick, LaToya Jackson for a cash prize for the charity of their choice.
According to published reports, other competitors on 'Celebrity Apprentice 4' include sexy models 2010 Playmate of the Year Hope Dworaczyk and Niki Taylor, musicians/singers like rocker Meatloaf, Sugar Ray front-man Mark McGrath, and country star John Rick of Big & Rich, and actors David Cassidy, Gary Busey, deaf Oscar-winning actress Marlee Matlin and Lisa Rinna.
There will also be two controversial figures - former 'Survivor' winner Richard Hatch, who evaded paying his taxes on his reality show winnings and wound up in jail and Steroid-using baseball star Jose Conseco.
Shooting is set to continue through the first week of December with the new season's ten episodes beginning to air next March on Sundays through May.

Spice Girls to reunite in 2012?
Melanie Chisholm has urged fans to get behind a campaign for the Spice Girls to perform at the opening ceremony of the 2012 London Olympic Games. Simon Fuller, the band’s manager, is reportedly keen for the band to get back together one last time for a performance at the games and Mel has admitted she thinks a reunion is a “brilliant idea”.
"Officially we don't know anything yet but I think it's a brilliant idea," Mel told WENN. "It would be wonderful for all five of us to appear and I'm sure all the girls would be up for it. Let's petition for this and make it happen."
Meanwhile, fellow former Spice Girl Mel B has denied she has agreed to appear in the next series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Insiders claim producers have signed Mel up believing she will make “explosive television”. Not so, says Mel.
"No no no noooo I am not doing the show I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! not me, they got it wrong as usual silly billys!!!! (sic)” Mel tweeted. "No celeb jungle for me I got an album to finish!!!"
