Eva Mendes Eats Before Parties

EVA Mendes has come up with a cunning plan so that she doesn’t over indulge at showbiz parties.

The sexy screen siren says she eats at home before she heads out to mix with her Hollywood peers.

“I always make a point of eating before I go to a party,” says Eva. “I go with a full stomach of fish or vegetables or whatever I have at home that is good.

“So when I get there I probably have a little nosh on something, but it is not going to be disastrous.”

Eva recently revealed that she harbors a secret desire to manage her own band — but her movie career keeps getting in the way.

“Music is very important to me,” says Eva. “I constantly go and see live bands when I’m not working.

“For a while I hoped to manage a band but I just don’t have the time. Maybe one day I will.

Ash plots 6 retakes of Rajni's smoke act

Southern star Rajnikanth has his own way of doing things-remember his patent cigarette flipping act-and Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan, his Robot co- star, is among Rajni's many fans.

So, while shooting for Robot Aishwarya came up with a smart plan to watch Rajni flip his cigarette in the air and catch it in his mouth. During a scene where the actor was to perform the act, Ash deliberately kept on making mistakes so that she could watch him in every retake.

An unsuspecting Rajni ended up doing the scene six times as Ash revealed her plan to him only after the shoot was over. The actress said at the film's music launch: "I was doing a scene in which Rajni sir had to do the cigarette flipping stunt. And I couldn't stop myself from turning around to see him in the act. I thought to myself: 'We will go for a second take. Let me take a look at my favourite star'."

Rajnikanth, on his part, appeared in Mumbai for the promotions of the `150-crore film. At one such event, he brought the house down with his wit and humour. "Kamal Haasan was first supposed to do the role and then Shah Rukh Khan was approached. I don't know what happened," he said amid applause.

He also evoked laughter while recalling an instance where a neighbour was shocked to learn that Ash was his heroine. The neighbour had asked Rajni who was the hero "after I told him that Aishwarya Rai is the heroine". When Rajni answered he was playing the hero, "the family head's jaw dropped. He wondered what was wrong with Abhishek and Amitabh Bachchan to have let Aishwarya be Rajnikanth's heroine", the actor said.

Finally, he thanked Ash for agreeing to work opposite him and praised Amitabh.

Angelina Jolie's Salt sequel hope

Angelina Jolie is looking forward to a possible 'Salt' sequel because she will get to explore the film's character.

Angelina Jolie is looking forward to exploring her 'Salt' character.

The 35-year-old actress - who plays lead character Evelyn Salt in the action thriller - admits she is keen to work on sequel because she thinks there is more to discover from her.

She said: "I'd love to do a sequel. You never know if you're going to get the chance, if audiences are going to love it. But particularly with this character, I think there is so much yet to explore in her life with her - with her family, with coming to terms with who she is in the end, because of the way it's set up, she could be anybody.

"She could be in any country, she could speak any language, and so we have a lot of opportunities.

"As an actress, and somebody who loves to travel, it would be nice to be able to explore the world with her."

The Hollywood beauty previously admitted to hurting herself on the set of the film because of a particularly difficult stunt.
