Pixie Lott has spent the past two months in Los Angeles recording her second album.
But it looks like the pop star wasn't spending all her time locked away in a dark studio given her glowing tan today.
The Essex-native, 20, was looking bronzed as she jetted in London Heathrow from Los Angeles' LAX.
Wearing a pair of bright orange short shorts, Lott's legs were nearly the same colour.
Lott has been in Los Angeles for two months recording the follow-up to her double-platinum selling 2009 debut album Turn It Up.
She has been working with some top producers and songwriters, including Dallas Austin, Diane Warren and Toby Gadd.
Speaking about her upcoming disc, she said: 'I’ve basically been trying to make it more soulful. It will still have some upbeat, pop songs on it, but it’s definitely more a soulful sound.
'I’m so excited for America to hear more of my music because I haven’t really released anything yet.'
At the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards earlier this month, Lott admitted she was missing England.
She told the Daily Mirror: 'I’ve been in LA for six weeks now, recording tracks for the new album but I’m ready to come back to London and go to Camden market.'
She has been visited by her model boyfriend Oliver Cheshire, 22, who she has been dating since last August.
Although she spent months being coy over her new love, Lott said recently: 'He’s really cool and makes me smile.'
Following a role in teen film Fred: The Movie last year, Lott is hoping to break the United States and has been spending increasing amounts of time Stateside.
Lott is set to follow up her debut film with a starring role in UK movie Sweet Baby Jesus, with Bette Midler, Robbie Coltrane and Sean Brosnan.
The comedy, slated for release this year, stars Pixie as 'a pregnant girl named Mary who goes back to Bethlehem Maryland at Christmas time.'
