Angelina Jolie's 'Salt' Sequel Hiring 'Prince of Tides' Writer

Columbia Pictures is still working to put Salt back on the table

In a move signaling continued interest in a sequel to the 2010 Angelina Jolie spy movie, the studio is in negotiations to hire Becky Johnston to work on the script.

In the original, Jolie starred as a CIA officer who discovers she is a Russian sleeper cell agent with a mission to assassinate the U.S. president. Salt grossed $293.5 million worldwide, so Columbia in 2011 hired the movie’s credited writer, Kurt Wimmer, to pen a sequel.

Earlier this year, however, reports surfaced that Jolie didn’t think his script was up to snuff and had not committed to the project, which is being produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Sunil Perkash. Johnston's hiring caps off an almost year-long search for a scribe who could reconceive the script with a take that satisfied all parties.

UTA-repped Johnston is a left-of-center choice for the project as her most notable credits are the character dramas The Prince of Tides (1991), which starred Barbra Streisand, and Seven Years in Tibet (1997), which starred Jolie’s fiance Brad Pitt.

Johnston did work on Wonder Woman as well as Brad Bird’s San Francisco Earthquake project 1906 and has the Colin Firth-Emily Blunt drama Arthur Newman awaiting release next year.

Jersey Shore's JWoww promises a perfect tan with her own gravity-defying bikini line

Jenni 'Jwoww' Farley of The Jersey Shore is well known for her love of a head-to-toe fake permatan.
But with summer around the corner, the bronze goddess has decisive to improve on the real thing.
JWoww announced today that she has teamed up with Perfect Tan Bikini to design a line of swimwear that dispenses with the tricky issue of tan lines overall.

The gravity-defying bikini has a only one of its kind manufacture that allows you to remove the straps of the top, while the cups stays in place.
Every style is lined with a silicon based adhesive called Stick2, which is activated by body hotness.
'The warmer you get, the more it stays in place!' the press release boasts.
There is no mention made as to whether the cement is water-resistant.

Quite how the top comes off is also not clear, and unless you have access to an air-conditioned hotel room, removal sounds like it could be painful.
The company assures us however that the adhesives can be reused up to 20 times and can be reactivated 'by the heat of a blow dryer, or a simple hair straightening iron' - another frightening prospect.
On her Facebook page today Jenni gushed: 'I am so excited to announce the launch of my new bikini line, JWOWW by Perfect Tan Bikini.
It is the perfect combo of sexy and functional. You are gonna love it!'

Charlotte Church chops off her newly red locks

What better way to forget a scandal than to undergo an image overhaul.

And following on from her embarrassing knickers blunder, Charlotte Church has chopped off her locks and given fans a new talking point.

The Welsh star showcased her new sophisticated bob at LAX airport, still managing a smile despite fighting jet lag after the lengthy flight.

The cheeky singer was forced to apologise this week after footage emerged of her stumbling around at a charity polo event with her underwear pulled down and in full view.

She quickly quashed rumours she had been doing the deed with boyfriend Jonathan Powell, saying she had been the victim of a weak bladder.

Charlotte, 25, blamed her desperation on consuming a bottle of wine and claimed all the cubicles at the outdoor event were engaged.

She said: 'Regrettably, oh-so regrettably, I had not the time to pull up my rather large pants.

'I hope I can be forgiven for these antics but, you know, when you’ve gotta go, you’ve gotta go.'

The former Over The Rainbow judge unveiled her new red colouring last weekend during a not-so-glamorous trip to her local Tesco store.

And now she has completed the stunning look by opting for a shorter style, that rests just below her ears and above her shoulders.

Usually, the baby-faced singer does not look old enough to be a mother to three-year-old Ruby and Dexter, two.

But her transformation, combined with her flared trousers and denim waistcoat, added a look of maturity to the voice of an angel.

Despite a six hour delay on the flight, Charlotte and her boyfriend seemed in good spirits, with Jonathan still managing a smile as he was forced to push the luggage while his missus walked baggage-free.
